Cold and Smokey

As much as 30″ of cold, smokey, fluff has fallen upon the sheltered and higher elevation aspects of the northern Green Mountains over the last 7-8 days, and the conditions close to home for us here in the Mad River Valley are once again exceptional. Taking a break from our usual diet of backcountry ski runs, we’ve been logging some extra vertical by riding a few chairlifts this week at our local Sugarbush and Mad River Glen ski areas. Here’s an image of local legend John Egan chasing his buddy Jesse Murphy at Sugarbush on Thursday morning, after another 6″ of snow magically fell from the sky overnight.
